CryptoKitties: Leveraging WeChat & Weibo to Drive Blockchain Game’s Social Engagement

Back Story

CryptoKitties is a blockchain based virtual game developed by Axiom Zen that allows players to purchase, collect, breed and sell various types of virtual cats. The game officially launched in late 2017 and Westwin helped CrypoKitties with social media marketing strategy & execution in China market.

Our Solution

We managed CryptoKitties’ WeChat & Weibo accounts and delivered game-related contents to followers. Also we built and managed CryptoKitties’ WeChat group, a much more convenient and faster way to communicate and interact with Chinese gamers.


We also developed CryptoKitties’ WeChat H5 page which further introduce the game, feature the brand story and drive user to download the app. The H5 page runs on WeChat smoothly and it can be easily shared in WeChat conversations.
